RE2YOU again

Re2you wanted me to create another explainer film but this time a couple of minutes long with a more illustrative structure showing more interactions...so after discussions i created an initial idea - from scratch designing all the graphics etc, which is the second clip. This didnt show enough information and the graphics werent as required so i changed it to the first clip reusing old graphics to make it more readable. I think it does a good job of telling you about what the Re2you thing does. All animated in AE. Learnt about shying layers which is useful sometimes... This latest version has been superseded again by another edit that has more text at the end...

ZDF Samwer Brüder

This was a lovely job making a few animations for Kai and Jutta. The show was about 3 brothers and i made a few little character animations to add into the larger animations that Jutta was compositing on AE.

i created the woman and blonde guy characters and all the side views of the brothers smoking but it all came from a few drawings from Jutta. i just redesigned characters based on these drawings. the above link to the whole show may not be working outside Germany so i have embeded a short clip showing the brother smoking...

RE2YOU

This was a short 30 second explainer video i made for Ghazaleh and Jenny. I created all the graphics from scratch - on a short deadline and with minimal direction - and made a short film based around the idea of moving apps and info from device to device irrespective of brand. It was quick, it was a bit stressful - i like the way it turned out EDIT i reused the images for a later video... the video cant be found because it has been superseded by a new one....probably a good thing..

Onyx Brass

Phil asked me to design a logo for the Onyx Brass Band. After several ideas based around the gem stone / circles / characters we came up with the idea of using the 5 bells of the instruments. I simplified them into curved triangles and arranged them numerous ways and after a few band votes they decided on this arrangement. I like it- the colours i would have muted a little perhaps. The typeface is really nice i think - took a while to decide on it..Here is their website with the logo

I made a very short motion graphic title sequence for Phil, based around the logo. Three different versions all in AE. Very simple but looks lovely.

Sonic.art quartett

Just a little design job for Tully creating a logo for the quartet - recording the sound of the name of the quartet. I converted this to sound waves and edited it into a nice symmetrical pattern. I really like it. bit like batman or a city reflected in the river. Here is a link to the final image and a few test doodles
